1:24 Steamer Trunk

New Steamer Trunk designed by Terri Correll and Jo Cohrs from the Half Scale Miniatures Facebook Group!

This cute little steamer trunk can be used as a bookcase, a trunk, or a place to hang clothes. It comes with "metallic" latches and hinges, just like a full size trunk would. You have the option to make shelves and drawers inside, and there's a rod to put your tiny hangers too. The metallic paper pieces (not shown) consist of borders for the outside, 2 "hinges", 2 small "latches", and a large 2-piece "latch". You have the flexibility to make the trunk the way you want; it is truly one of a kind.

*Note: photos were taken before I had the metallic paper so they show the trim cut from wood. The metallic paper is thinner and has a dull silver sheen.

**Another Note: the last 2 pictures were of a 1" prototype but it is basically the same kit. Jo added some extra stripwood to it.

Outside measurements are 2" (50 mm) high x 1" (25.4 mm) wide. Each trunk half is .5" (13 mm) deep. Cut from 1/16" and 1/32" maple. Metallic pieces are cut from metallic paper.
